Those looking to take in some great entertainment this season should consider purchasing a “Tour de Fort” passport, which are on sale now for $100 until Sept. 1.
A full-season passport entitles the purchaser to attend all six of the exceptional performances in this year’s line-up.
“It’s going to be a really, really good season,” enthused “Tour de Fort” president Ken Avis, citing there’s a nice mix of music, including folk and popular music.
They’ve even added in a theatrical performance this year.
The 2012-13 season opens Sept. 13 with “The Once,” followed by the Jim Cuddy Trio on Sept. 29 and then Kim Stockwood (with special guest Kevin Fox) on Nov. 27.
Rounding out the season is “The Number 14” on Jan. 15, “The Lost Fingers” on March 21, and Treasa Levasseur & The Daily Special on April 18.
While passport sales currently are lower than at this point last year, Avis indicated they expect them to pick up next week.
“It works out to be just $16.66 per show,” he noted. “How can you go wrong?”
Passports can be purchased online at www.tourdefort.com, where people can pay using a secure PayPal service.
However, you do not have to have a PayPal account in order to use this service.
Those who wish to pay by cash or cheque can do so at 93.1 The Border (210 Scott St.)
“All passports are picked up the night of the first show,” Avis noted.
Passports cost $110 after Sept. 1.
