Air cadet enjoyed training exercise

Press Release

Cpl. Aiden Tullio and his Flight, Sabre, went on an adventure training exercise recently at the Air Cadet Summer Training Centre in Penhold, Alta.
The Fort Frances youth and his Flight learned how to build improvised shelters in the woods, as well as collecting a handful of knowledge about life in the wilderness.
For his first time at a Cadet Summer Training Centre, Cpl. Tullio’s performance was outstanding and he learned how to work as a team with his fellow cadets.
During the adventure training exercise, Cpl. Tullio helped out his superiors by gathering logs and sticks to help make the shelters, motivating his teammates as the afternoon progressed.
He also took part in the general training course, which is a two-week introduction to the advanced courses offered in the air cadet movement.
“I think it’s fun when you’re not getting yelled at and your teammates behave,” said Cpl. Tullio.
He feels the cadet movement is a great opportunity to make a name for himself and to have fun while picking up new life skills.
The adventure training exercise was a great way to do so.
Overall, the afternoon ended in success and by the end of the day, Cpl. Tullio was prepared for another fun day of training and looked forward to many more!
