The Treaty 3 Police Service and the OPP have made a second arrest in relation to the death of Charles Minshall, 61, of the Naotkamegwanning Anicinabe (Whitefish Bay) First Nation that occurred there July 22.
On July 24, a 16-year-old male from Whitefish Bay First Nation was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
Subsequent to further investigation, a 14-year-old male from Whitefish Bay First Nation was arrested and charged with first-degree murder on July 27.
Subject to the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the accused cannot be identified.
Officers from the Treaty 3 Police Service and the OPP’s North West Region Crime Unit are continuing the investigation, under the direction of Det. Insp. Dan Davidson with the OPP’s Criminal Investigation Branch.
