Press Release
The Clover Valley Farmers’ Market in Fort Frances will be hosting some fabulous themed days over the next month of summer.
Join us on Saturdays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. to not miss out on the excitement and a great selection of local products.
This Saturday (July 28) is the perfect opportunity to drop by the market while you wait for the Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship boats to return with their final weigh-in.
Aug. 4 marks the nation-wide celebration of Canada Food Day. This culinary event challenges Canadians to create a feast using only Canadian ingredients.
The Clover Valley Farmers’ Market can supply you with ingredients from every food group to create a delicious full-course meal. We have a selection of elk, beef, pork, lamb, and fish, as well as countless home-grown vegetables and berries.
Complete the meal with local breads, pies, cakes, cabbage rolls, perogies, preserves, barbecue sauce, and so much more.
Canada Food Day is promoted by Canadian culinary activist Anita Stewart and her son, Brad. She has years of experience in the Canadian local food industry and has written more than a dozen culinary books.
In 2012, she was made a member of the Order of Canada for her work.

Aug. 11 is the tentative date for the Fort Frances Horticultural Society’s annual flower and garden show. This weekend always is popular with market customers because the building is infused with the sweet scents of locally-grown flowers.
The talented Horticultural Society members harvest the flowers and arranges them into fresh-cut bouquets for purchase.
Support local growers and freshen up your day one arrangement at a time!
Remember that the market’s annual Bulk Honey Day will be held on Sept. 1. Seven Bends Honey Farm will be selling its fresh crop of honey by the bucket.
We ask customers to bring their own container to be filled.
Seven Bends’ raw honey has many nutritional benefits, including improved digestion and allergy prevention.
Be sure to stock up on this healthy natural sweetener before the long winter.
