Rainy River District OPP officers yesterday were advised of a missing person from a residence on the 700 block of Nelson Street in Fort Frances.
Maddi Bruyere, 14, of Fort Frances left her residence with the intention of attending the teen dance at the Memorial Sports Centre on Wednesday night.
She was last heard from by her caregivers around 11:30 p.m.
Although police are keeping all avenues open as to where she might be located, officers are aware she has connections to individuals in Fort Frances, as well as Naicatchewenin First Nation.
They ask residents to be aware of this ongoing investigation and report information to police.
Bruyere is described as a First Nation female, 5’7” tall, with a thin build and long dark hair kept in a pony tail.
She was last seen wearing blue jeans and a dark grey shirt.
