Great job, Sarah

To the Times,
I would like to say as an American observer that MPP Sarah Campbell has done a wonderful job.
When I told centre-left voters last year to unite behind her in this paper, I wanted to make sure I did not make a mistake so I kept an eye on her. I didn’t.
Tim Hudak has made it clear in the last session he wants to force an election any way he can so he can take over and force massive budget cuts like Mike Harris did. The PCs also made it clear they will attempt to take the Kenora-Rainy River in the next election.
The Ontario Liberals are essentially an Eastern Ontario and Suburban Toronto party so Dalton McGuinty’s focus is mainly on that region. Meanwhile, Campbell has done well despite these oppositions by protesting cuts in Northern Ontario programs and to the local information booths and was able to get taxes increased for the richest citizens to help stop even more program cuts.
She did make a mistake when she endorsed Niki Ashton for the federal NDP leader position but despite that one error, I believe she deserves Kenora-Rainy River’s continued support.
Sincerely,
