Riverside Foundation for Health Care is excited to announce the grand prize winner of the $10,000 Canada Day Cash Lottery is Ray and Helen Cousineau of Fort Frances. The Cousineaus are lucky people as two of the three tickets they bought were drawn and they won the second-place prize of $2,000.
“It was an exciting call to make”, said Foundation director Nicke Baird.
“I knew it was a bit late to be calling after the draw at 10 p.m. but I figured they wouldn’t be upset as I was calling to tell them they just won $12,000!” she added.
The third-place prize of $1,000 goes to Mary Cooper from Fort Frances. The remainder of the four cash draw winners of $500 each goes to Betty Godin, Gary and Lori Durbin, Doreen Fryer and Renee Dumeney.
On behalf of the Riverside Foundation for Health Care we would like to thank the communities for supporting this fundraiser, the businesses that help sell the tickets and all the volunteers who help make this a success.
We would also like to thank Jay and Cheryl Handberg for their early bird donation, an all-inclusive fly-in fishing trip to their business, Campbell’s Cabins.
All proceeds from this draw will be used to support our local hospitals and long-term care facilities in Rainy River, Emo and Fort Frances.
