The annual bathtub races at Pither’s Point Park have always been one of the most unique events of the Canada Day celebrations here in Fort Frances.
And while this year’s event should be another exciting affair, the event will also be one to help out a fellow competitor.
Sunday’s races, which will be getting underway at 6 p.m., will also be a benefit for multi-time winner Curtis Boivin, who was injured in a snowmachine accident in Beausejour, Man., last December.
Boivin is still recovering from head injuries suffered in the wreck at a hospital in Thunder Bay.
