The Rainy River District Women’s Institute Museum in Emo has two summer student employment positions available.

The next meeting of the men’s breakfast club will take place this Saturday (June 16) starting at 8 a.m. at the Emo Legion.
The featured speaker for this month will be Pastor Jake Froese of Winnipeg, whose topic will be “Father’s Day.”
Pastor Froese has served for many years, including as a representative for the “Back to the Bible” broadcast in Winnipeg for 19 years.
Having observed many life experiences while raising three sons, as well as having had an outstanding father himself until age nine, Pastor Froese is very qualified to share a powerful Father’s Day talk.
Those who are able to attend not only will enjoy a fantastic $10 buffet breakfast, but also will hear Pastor Froese share his personal story about how his father was killed in a railway crossing accident that left himself, his brother, and sister riding in the same car unharmed.
Come with your son or father, or come by yourself. Just don’t miss this outstanding message.

The Emo and District Hospital Auxiliary would like to extend a huge thank-you to all who attended and supported their annual “Strawberry Social” this past Friday (June 8).
They also would like to thank those who supplied the cakes and helped at this annual event.
The door prize winner was Tom Mosbeck.
The event raised roughly $500, which will go towards ongoing projects.
In related news, the auxiliary is in the process of collecting pennies. They have just over $3,000 to pay off the CR reader/X-ray upgrade, and also will be pledging to the upcoming digital mammography campaign.
If anyone would like to help the hard-working auxiliary by donating their pennies to this worthy cause, bring them to the hospital cafeteria and place them in the jar or contact a member.
Thanks to those who already have raided their piggy banks and donated some pennies.
