The Muskie boys’ soccer team now knows who they’ll be facing as they try to make the playoffs at this year’s all-Ontario ‘AA’ championships in North Bay.
Seeded fifth in Pool ‘A’, the black-and-gold will open play Thursday at 9 a.m. (EDT) against the Cardinal Carter Cougars (Leamington), with their second game slated for 1:30 p.m. versus the St. Mary’s Huskies (Toronto).
Then on Friday, Fort High will take on the Prince Edward Panthers (Picton) at 9:30 a.m. before concluding their round-robin schedule with a 2 p.m. clash against the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders (Oakville).
The top two teams in each of the four pools advance to the quarter-finals on Friday at 6 p.m., with the semi-finals set for 9 a.m. on Saturday.
The gold-medal game then will kick off at 3 p.m. on Saturday at the Steve Omischl Sports Complex.
Twenty teams are vying for provincial glory, with the St. Christopher Cyclones (Sarnia) returning to defend their crown.
