Several new people signed up for plots during the Fort Frances Community Garden’s registration session yesterday at the Sunset Country Métis Hall, but Krista Nielson, co-chair of the Community Garden Team, noted there are still plots available.
“Since the garden is larger this year, we have more plots,” she explained about the garden, which is located on Lillie Avenue between Fifth Street and Sixth Street West.
“Many people from last year are getting plots again, too,” she added.
Members of the Community Garden Team will be on hand at the Easter Market at the Clover Valley Farmers’ Market today (until 6 p.m.) and Saturday (9 a.m.- 1 p.m.) for those interested to sign up for a plot.
Plots cost $15 for adults and $5 for children for the season.
