The Muskie boys’ hockey team has been ranked seventh overall at this year’s OFSAA ‘A/AA’ championships in Peterborough, which will get underway next week.
Grouped in Pool ‘E’ (which is the first pool for the ‘A/AA’ division), the black-and-gold’s opening game will be on Wednesday, March 21 at 10:30 a.m. (EDT) against the 20th-ranked St. Martin Mustangs of Mississauga.
They’ll meet the hometown Holy Cross Hurricanes, seeded 12th, at 8:15 a.m. (EDT) on Thursday (March 22) before facing the top-ranked Glendale Gemini (Tillsonburg) that evening at 6:30 p.m. (EDT).
Fort High then will wrap up round-robin play Friday at 10:15 a.m. (EDT) versus the 13th-ranked Kincardine Knights.
The top two teams from each of the four pools (i.e., Pool ‘E’ to Pool ‘H’) will advance to the quarter-finals Friday evening, with the semi-finals and the final slated for Saturday (March 24).
Pools ‘A’-‘D’ make up the ‘AAA/AAAA’ division, which also is being held in Peterborough.
