The Border Skating Club returned to Fort Frances with a solid performance at the Thunder Bay Open Competition, which took place Feb. 25.
Leading the way for the local club were Alina Eldridge and Sophie Potvin-Begin, who both came home with a trio of first-place results.
Eldridge finished in top spot in preliminary freeskate Group 3, preliminary elements Group 1, and preliminary spins Group 1.
Potvin-Begin, meanwhile, led the way in the senior silver elements, open spins, and gold interpretive events.
Other Border skaters who finished in the top three, or who came away with a medal, included:
•Adyson Wilson-Hands—bronze (introductory freeskate Group 8) and third (introductory spins Group 6);
•Aubrey Eldridge—silver level Can Skate Stage 2;
•Avery Wilson-Hands—first (junior bronze spins Group 3) and third (junior bronze elements Group 2 and gold interpretive Group 1);
