Chuck McPherson was re-elected chief of Couchiching First Nation in yesterday’s band election, beating out seven other contenders.
He will be joined on council by Dick Bird, Dave Bruyere, Christine Jourdain, Dan Mainville, Bugsy Morrisseau, and Eddie Yerxa.
Bird, Jourdain, Mainville, and Yerxa were re-elected.
Bruyere and Morrisseau were newly-elected, although both have served on the band council previously.
