Muskie girls beat Rams

A hat trick by Grade 9 forward Kaily Greengrass sparked the Muskie girls’ hockey team to a 4-2 victory over the Red Lake Rams here yesterday afternoon.
Shelby Tymkin had the other goal for the black-and-gold, who outshot the Rams by a whopping 58-18 margin.
It was a nice bounce-back victory for the Muskies after they suffered a hard-fought 4-3 loss to the NorWOSSA-leading Dryden Eagles here Tuesday night.
Greengrass scored two goals in that game, with Katie Sinclair opening the scoring early in the first period.
The squad has one last regular-season contest tomorrow night in Red Lake, then will face a winner-take-all showdown there Tuesday night (Feb. 21) for the right to advance to the semi-finals against Dryden.
A story in yesterday’s Times incorrectly stated the one-game playoff would be against the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints (Kenora).
