The Rainy River District School Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Dan Mack to the position of vice-principal at Rainy River High School, effective Feb. 1.
He replaces retiring vice-principal Don McBride.
With qualifications in design and technology, and experience in business and computer technology, Mack brings to the position more than 14 years of secondary level teaching experience.
His teaching skills and professional knowledge were further complemented through three years of experience in providing corporate computer training.
He has demonstrated leadership as Rainy River High School’s information communication technology (ICT) lead, as a professional development co-ordinator, as the system’s e-learning contact/teacher, and through participation in various system committees.
He works effectively and collaboratively with staff, students, parents, and members of the school community.
“As vice-principal, I look forward to working with staff, students, and parents at Rainy River High School and to the learning experiences this new role will bring,” said Mack.
