I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Kimberley and Rhonda Shoemaker and their Running Horse Ranch on finally realizing their “dream”!
It has taken almost 10 years of rescuing the Lac La Croix ponies and getting a program together for children and ponies.
It has been almost 40 years since the Northern Therapeutic Riding Association was organized and I know the value of equine therapy for both children and adults.
I am so pleased to see the Running Horse Ranch continue a program to promote the opportunity for horses to be used for such a positive experience. We had two Lac La Croix ponies in our program for a few years—and loved them very much.
Congratulations, again, to the Running Horse Ranch and all the people who made it possible for so many children to experience the “joy” of riding a horse.
Hope you have 40 more years!
