Bruce and Linda Stewart of Emo, who were reported missing in Texas last week, have been found safe and sound.
Weslaco Police confirmed the couple was found staying at the Falcon State Park north of Roma, Tex.
After learning they had been reported missing, the couple went to the Roma police department, where they met with officers who then notified Weslaco police that they were safe and in good health.
Family and friends of the Stewarts are relieved to learn they are okay. But one friend noted they now are giving the pair heck for not keeping in touch.
Apparently they had been travelling in a remote area where communication was poor.
The couple last had been seen staying at the Snow to Sun RV Park in Weslaco, but had left there back on Dec. 29.
Family and friends hadn’t heard from the Stewarts in five weeks and grew worried enough to file a missing persons report.
Roma, which is located along the Rio Grande River, is about 80 km from Weslaco.
The Weslaco Police Department worked closely with the local OPP Cst. Anne McCoy on the case.
