Press Release
The Fort Frances McDonald’s restaurant has new owners.
Steve and Diane Ford have taken over the restaurant from previous owner/operators John and Sharon Myers.
“We’re thrilled to become the McDonald’s owner/operators in Fort Frances,” said Steve Ford.
“We’re looking forward to continuing John and Sharon’s legacy of giving back to the community, and helping ensure customers and staff have the best experience possible at their local McDonald’s,” he added.
John Myers is retiring following a distinguished 33-year career with McDonald’s.
During that time, he received the Ronald Award in recognition of his determination and hard work in building the McDonald’s brand.
Steve Ford joined the McDonald’s team more than 30 years ago as a manager trainee in Edmonton, Alta.
He then moved to Ontario to work with his father, McDonald’s owner/operator Grant Ford.
In 1998, Steve followed in this father’s footsteps when he purchased the McDonald’s restaurant in Kenora.
Since then, he also became the owner/operator of the Kenora Walmart McDonald’s and the McDonald’s restaurants in Dryden.
The Fords are excited to take on this new challenge and opportunity in Fort Frances.
