St. Mary’s Church on Sunday was the setting for “Mary, Did You Know?”—a most uplifting cantata.
Three soloists opened the show and put everyone into the Christmas spirit, and opened my hear and mind for the cantata which followed.
In spite of a request to refrain from applause until the end, members of the audience had to exert considerable self-control to keep from clapping after every number.
The songs that told the story, some old, some new, some familiar and some not so familiar, the audience rising for the Hallelujah Chorus gave everyone something to hold onto.
For most of us, old memories of Christmas’ past stirred themselves once again.
Diane and her choir once again started my Christmas time with a most beautiful gift.
Thank you, Diane and friends, for another wonderful cantata.
