A benefit supper is being planned for next Thursday (Dec. 15) to assist the family of local snowmobile racer Curtis Boivin, who remains in critical condition in hospital following a horrific accident Sunday.
The roast beef supper will take place from 5-7 p.m. at the Couchiching multi-use facility.
Tickets, which will cost $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under, will be available at the door.
There also will be a penny table, as well as a quilt donated by the Rousseau family being raffled off to help with the fundraising.
At last report, the 19-year-old still was in a medically-induced coma as doctors work to determine the full extent of head injuries he sustained during the main event of the Pro Champ 440 division.
The accident occurred during the season-opening weekend of the Canadian Power Toboggan Championships at Beausejour, Man.
