Rainy River District OPP is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing hunter.
Patrick O’Connell, 53, of Fort Frances left his Crowe Avenue residence yesterday around 3 p.m. to go hunting in Nickel Lake area.
He was expected to return home that evening, but his family has not heard from him.
He is reported to be in good health, and is known to phone home if he was planning to be late.
Police currently are trying to locate his vehicle—a 1995 red Ford pickup truck with a regular cab, bearing licence plate 546 1YJ.
O’Connell was last seen wearing a grey T-shirt and blue jeans. He also brought along his orange hunting jacket and usually wears his orange hat.
The Northwest Region Emergency Response Team has been deployed to the area to begin searching.
Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of O’Connell, or if his vehicle is seen, is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
