‘Harvest of Hope’

Capt. Marlene Sandoval

Dear editor:
Once again, summer has quickly come to an end and students everywhere have returned to the classroom.
For many families, this is an exciting time of the year. Children look forward to back-to-school shopping and starting extra-curricular activities.
However, there also are many families in this district straining to make ends meet. Back-to-school shopping and the costs of extra-curricular activities bring extra stress to a low-income family.
After these families have stretched their wallets to pay for school expenses, they depend on us to assist them with basic groceries.
Would you send a gift of $35, $75, $100, or whatever is right for you? Or make a short visit to our ministry, where we will be glad to see you with your gift to the less fortunate.
Remember, our mailing address is 316 Victoria Ave., Fort Frances, Ont., P9A 2C2.
Thank you for your support, and we believe that the Salvation Army “Harvest of Hope 2011” will be a great success because you care for those in needs this Thanksgiving season.
You are the heart of our “Harvest of Hope.”
Committed to the Lord,
Capt. Marlene Sandoval
