Noonan captures skeet title

Len Noonan once again proved to the top shooter at the Fort Frances Sportsmen’s Club on Saturday, as he captured the Hiram Walker Trophy in the annual skeet shoot at the club.
After finishing up with a score of 80 last year, Noonan bounced back with a score of 93 in the 2011 edition of the event, which included a perfect score of 25 that allowed him to beat Kevin Bone’s score of 89.
Bone, who got his perfect score of 25 last week, impressed many with his shooting during the course of the year and received the R.J. “Bob” Kennedy Award for advancement in skeet shooting.
Third place went to Ted Brockie with a score of 86, while Jeremy McGuire placed fourth with a score of 83.
