A former nightspot on the 200 block of Scott Street may re-open down the road under a new name and ownership.
Don Lee, owner of the Adventure Inn here, said yesterday he is interested in the property at 246 Scott St., the location of the former “Warp 9” nightclub which closed its doors a few years ago.
Lee noted there’s a still a few conditions that need to be met before a deal is sealed, but added he might be able to say more in a couple of weeks.
It is confirmed, however, that the establishment has applied to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario for a liquor licence, as noted in an advertisement published in yesterday’s Daily Bulletin.
According to the notice of liquor licence application, the club will be called “Club 88.”
