The class of the women’s division in the Borderland Soccer League suffered its first blemish of the 2011 season, falling 2-1 to Al’s Racquet Stringing in a thriller yesterday evening.
Natalie Desjardins and Nicole Rogozinski scored for Al’s, who sit third in the league standings with a 6-8 record.
Sarah Gould had the lone goal for Boston Pizza, which dropped the league leaders to a 13-1 mark.
The other scheduled game last night saw the Rendez-Vous (6-7-1) win by default over Taggs (2-11-1).
Play in the men’s division resumes tonight at 7 p.m., with the marquee match-up being the top two teams—Pharmasave (10-3-1) and Manitou Forest Products (9-3-1)—going against each another.
The other game will pit third-place Emo (5-9-0) versus the last-place Rendez-Vous Voyageurs (2-11).
