The Rainy River District OPP responded to a tourist resort in Morson on Friday following the report of a break-and-enter.
When police arrived, it was determined that over a two-day period, culprits entered the resort cabins but also broke into several homes in the same area.
Damage to all the building structures, interiors, and contents was estimated to be more than $100,000.
The officer attended the resort and was able to get a description of four youths, who were believed to still be in the area.
A search proved successful as the officer located the youths and arrested them.
The Northwest Region Emergency Response and K-9 units attended the scene as support to detachment members, and helped to transport the youth to the Fort Frances detachment.
Four youths have been charged with several counts, including:
•break-and-enter with the intent to commit an indictable offence;
•break-and-enter to a dwelling house;
•failure to comply with court order; and
•possession of stolen property.
All four have been released from custody by way of an undertaking before a police officer, and were ordered to appear in court here Aug. 22.
