The Fort Frances Public Library’s annual Teddy Bear’s Picnic, sponsored by TbayTel, is set to go there Thursday (June 30) and tickets are now available at the library.
“We’re very excited about it. It’s our kick-off event for summer,” expressed children’s librarian Andrea Avis.
The event will be held at the new library for the second time, with activties taking place inside and outside.
“We’ll have games, prizes, a bouncy castle—we always have a lot of fun,” she enthused, citing children’s entertainers the “Tune-A-Tics” of Thunder Bay are also set to play beginning at noon.
“It’s not just for little kids, but kids of all ages,” she added.
The Friends of the Library will be providing drinks and a sweet treat, and hot dogs will be available for $2.
The picnic begins at 11 a.m. and tickets cost $3 per person (or $20 per household).
“Don’t forget a blanket, a picnic lunch, and your teddy bear,” Avis reminded.
In related news, the library’s summer programs will start July 5, with the Summer Reading Program, Wacky Wednesdays, and family movies.
