Fort Frances Little Theatre’ production of “How the West was Won in a Dress” promises to be an entertaining and hilarious evening as talented local actors show us their best.
The play will be staged June 25-26 and June 28-29 at 7 p.m. at the Cornell barn on La Vallee Road North.
Tickets cost $12 in advance (available at Northwoods Gallery & Gifts, the Clover Valley Farmers’ Market, and Greensides store here in Devlin) and $15 at the door.

A spaghetti supper in support of Tylyn Silander’s trip to Peru will be held July 13 at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Fort Frances (824 Victoria Ave.)
As well, a garage sale fundraiser is planned there for this Saturday (June 25) from 8-11 a.m.
Tylyn is a Grade 12 student at Fort Frances High School who will be flying to Peru this summer to assist the World Vision organization.

Two Devlin farmers met up at the district food store.
“I think I am going to have to shoot my bull,” said Farmer Joe. “He just isn’t interested in my cow at all.”
“The vet has new pills for that,” noted Farmer Sam. “They’ll make your bull interested in your cows.”
“Oh, what’s the name of those pills?” asked Farmer Joe.
“I don’t know,” Farmer Sam replied. “But it tastes like licorice.”
