The body of the second male boater missing since Victoria Day was located yesterday by the OPP’s Marine Unit along the shore of Lake of the Woods near Morson.
The deceased was identified as 69-year-old Richard Hermann of Peoria Ill.
Kenora OPP had been advised of overdue boaters in the Morson area on Lake of the Woods on May 23.
Two males out fishing in a 16’ boat had not come off the lake before dark as expected.
The OPP’s Marine Unit from Kenora was activated and attended the area in search of the boaters.
Officers located one deceased male on shore the following day (May 24).
He subsequently was identified as James Wealther, 73, of Addison Ill.
