Barwick and the Big Grassy Lighting will be looking to stay atop the 10-team Rainy River District Fastball League standings when action resumes tonight (weather permitting).
Both squads sported 5-1 records after the third week of play.
Barwick will face the Big Island Huskies (0-5) this evening while the Lightning are scheduled to clash with Manitou (2-3).
Stratton and Beef’s Warriors, who sit tied for third at 4-1, will square off tonight.
Other action to kick off Week 4 will see the Sight & Sound Wolves (2-3) meeting Northwest Bay (0-6) while the Big Grassy Braves (3-3) play the Rainy River Royals (2-3).
Sight & Sound then will host the Lightning at VanJura here Thursday night, with Stratton taking on the Braves.
Other games Thursday will include Manitou versus Rainy River, Barwick against Beef’s Warriors, and Big Island playing Northwest Bay.
In related news, three games that were rained out last Tuesday (Sight & Sound-Stratton, Beef’s Warriors-Rainy River, and Manitou-Big Island) have yet to be made up.
Scheduled make-up dates for the league are on Thursday, June 16 and Thursday, July 21.
