The Rainy River Future Development Corp. is encouraging more district businesses to sign up for its 2011 Customer Service “People’s Choice” Online Challenge before tomorrow’s deadline (April 15).
Sandra Whalen of the RRFDC said this morning that 22 district businesses have signed up so far.
These include Northwoods Gallery & Gifts, Kupila’s Sound Centre, Studio Gibbous, Green’s Countrywide Furniture, West End Motors, Norlund Oil, Super 8 Motel, Times Web Design, Fort Frances Times Ltd., Cloverleaf Family Foods, and Peterbilt Fort Frances.
Rounding out the entries are Fort Frances General Supply, Simplicity Professional Hair & Body Care, Taggs Source for Sports, McTaggarts, La Place Rendez-Vous, Fort Frances Enhanced Hearing Centre, The Ear Clinic, Inc., Maddy’s Little Store, Leon’s, Belluz Concrete and Rentals, and Pharmasave.
But Whalen noted the more that participate, the better. Those interested can sign up by calling the RRFDC at 274-3276 or e-mailing info@rrfdc.on.ca
Participation is free, and all district businesses within the RRFDC’s catchment area—from Mine Centre west to Rainy River, and north to Morson and Nestor Falls—are encouraged to sign up.
After tomorrow’s entry deadline, Whalen said the list of participating businesses will be advertised for the next two weeks.
Businesses also will be listed on the RRFDC’s website at www.rrfdc.on.ca
This is to let the public know who’s signed up, and hopefully encourage them to shop at, or at least visit, the participating businesses so they can experience first-hand what their customer service is like.
Online voting then will open May 3 and run until May 13, during which time customers can visit the RRFDC’s website to vote.
They will have one chance to vote for their choice of the top three businesses offering the best customer service.
To make their vote valid, customers must briefly explain why they felt the businesses earned their vote for top-notch customer service.
Once the voting closes at 4 p.m. on May 13, the top 10 businesses will be determined from the online results.
The winners will be announced in late May during the Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce’s annual “After Hours” deck party.
