Rams stun Muskies

The Muskie boys’ hockey team will have its playoff life on the line here tonight.
The top squad during the NorWOSSA regular season finds itself knotted at a game apiece in their best-of-three semi-final series with the fourth-seeded Rams, who stunned the black-and-gold 9-5 yesterday afternoon in Red Lake.
The Muskies, who had taken the series opener by a convincing 11-2 score here Saturday night, will host the deciding game tonight at 7:15 p.m. at the Ice For Kids Arena.
The winner advances to the best-of-three NorWOSSA final against the Kenora Broncos, who knocked off the Dryden Eagles in their semi-final series.
Meanwhile, the Muskie girls’ hockey team also has its back to the wall when they square off against the Dryden Eagles tonight in Game 3 of their best-of-three semi-final showdown.
The series has been a tightly-contested affairs so far, with the black-and-gold taking the opener 3-2 in overtime on the road Friday night.
But the Eagles battled back to force a third-and-deciding game after winning 2-1 here Sunday afternoon.
The league-leading Kenora Broncos await the semi-final winner, with the best-of-three NorWOSSA final slated to start there Friday.
