In March, 1981, Riverside Health Care Facilities, Inc. established a Quarter-Century Club to honour employees of the corporation and auxiliary members with 25 years or more of service.
In 2001, physicians who have had 25 or more years with hospital privileges at Riverside were included in the Quarter-Century Club.
Members reaching 25, 30, or 40 years of service are honoured at a speical recognition ceremony.
This year’s ceremony took place last night at the local Legion.
New members who were honoured this year included Danette Allan (Rainycrest), Colleen Bynkoski (Rainycrest), Terry Ann Chambers (La Verendrye), Everett Freeman (La Verendrye), Kelly Eliuk (La Verendrye), Betty Godin (Rainycrest), Donna Hagarty (Rainy River Health Centre), Karen Hammond (Rainycrest), and Marna Martin (La Verendrye).
Rounding out the new members were Kristine McCaig (La Verendrye), Debbie Medwechuk (Rainycrest), Alison Milling (La Verendrye), Christina Stoessinger (Rainycrest), Susan Tighe (La Verendrye), Shelly VanUden (La Verendrye), and Corinne Webb (La Verendrye).
Other members honoured last night for 30 years of service included Susan Boersma (Rainy River Health Centre), Jan Gosman (La Verendrye), Gail Govier (La Verendrye), Karen Green (Rainycrest), Dana Helder (Rainycrest), Sharon Helder (Rainycrest), Twyla Howarth (La Verendrye), Theresa Huntley (La Verendrye), and Ian Johnstone (Rainycrest).
Also saluted for 30 years of service were Gail Lemieux (Rainycrest), Janet Lenart (La Verendrye), Karla Rogozinski (La Verendrye), Patricia Roth (Rainycrest), Solly Santiago (La Verendrye), Sandra Scott (Rainy River Health Centre), and Kim Strain (La Verendrye).
Riverside Health Care Facilities, Inc. would like to congratulate all staff recognized for their dedication and extensive contribution of service to the people of Rainy River District.
Riverside also is proud to acknowledge auxiliary members for their continued support.
Auxiliary members honoured for 25 years of service were Betty Batiuk (La Verendrye), Jean Boileau (Rainycrest), Eva Costello (La Verendrye), Betty Cox (La Verendrye), Rhoda Dickson (La Verendrye), Mary Ducharme (La Verendrye), Barbara Gustafson (Rainycrest), Sam Harcus (La Verendrye), Florence Hill (La Verendrye), Betty Krienke (La Verendrye), Thelma Lindsell (La Verendrye), Jane McLeod (La Verendrye), Gord McTaggart (Rainycrest), Marj McTaggart (Rainycrest), Gwen Westover (Rainycrest), and Judy Witherspoon (La Verendrye).
Honoured for 30 years of service were Dorothy Burrell (La Verendrye), Bev Busch (La Verendrye), Dorothy Cupp (La Verendrye), Marnee Miller (La Verendrye), and Joan Mudge (La Verendrye).
Audry Thomson (La Verendrye Auxiliary) was honoured for 40 years of service.
