U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Warroad port of entry arrested a Sundown, Man. man who arrived from Canada there last Friday (Feb. 12).
Dale Dooley, 38, a Canadian citizen, arrived at the port around 2 a.m. driving a red Pontiac Grand Prix.
Routine queries conducted in the Canadian Police Information Center (CPIC) by CBP officers revealed Dooley had two warrants for his arrest for a breach of protection order.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police was contacted and verified that the warrants were still active.
Dooley was refused entry into the U.S. and escorted back to Canada Border Services, where he was turned over to the RCMP for extradition to Winnipeg.
