I am writing this letter with disappointment as when I went to read the obituary of Aaron Hyatt on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, I came across the front page of the Fort Frances Times newspaper.
I could not believe your newspaper would print a picture of the snowmobile accident with the helmets and debris on the ground. A man, a father, was killed in the accident and the funeral occurred on Tuesday.
I do not feel it was appropriate for your newspaper to print another picture after the accident and then after the funeral as it truly shows you have no compassion or empathy for the families that have been affected.
I hope in the future, your newspaper will think about the impact that this has on families in your community, as you live in a small town and it is not just about reporting the “news.”
