Due to cases of gastroenteritis at Rainycrest Long-Term Care, the visitor restriction there will remain in effect through the weekend.
The situation will be reassessed Monday, at which time the visitor restriction may be lifted.
Visitors currently are restricted to one family member only, and no children under the age of 18.
Each family member is asked to restrict their visit to the resident’s room and refrain from visiting other residents while at Rainycrest.
The public also is reminded to not visit if you are experiencing cough, fever, runny nose, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.
Remember, the best way to stop the spread of infectious diseases is to wash you hands frequently.
The infection control committee will continue to monitor the situation.
