It was a bittersweet opening to the NorWOSSA season for the four Muskie court teams yesterday in Dryden.
The senior boys’ basketball squad swamped the host Eagles 64-28 while the junior boys romped to a 68-27 victory.
But it was a different story for the girls’ volleyball team, who both fell in three-straight games to Dryden.
The senior spikers lost by scores of 25-11, 25-11, and 25-23 while the juniors went down 25-20, 25-19, and 25-9.
All four teams are back in action again today at Fort High against the Kenora Broncos.
The junior boys and senior girls hit the court first at 3:30 p.m., followed by the senior boys and junior girls at 5 p.m.
