If you’ve been busy decking the halls at home, then be sure to enter the Christmas lighting contest being held by the local Canadian Tire store.
“We’re looking for submissions, for sure,” Canadian Tire owner Paul Sunstrum enthused about the contest for those homeowners getting into the holiday spirit with their outdoor decorations this year.
“There’s so many different decorations available on the market,” he noted. “It’s just wonderful to see all the inflatables and all the different displays that people are making.
“So we thought we’d create a little bit of a community rivalry—if that’s the proper term—and try to see how creative people are,” Sunstrum added.
Participants just need to bring a picture of their decorated home to Canadian Tire, along with their home address and phone number, to be entered into the draw for a $100 Canadian Tire gift card.
The winner will be drawn Dec. 21.
All of the photos of the festively-decorated homes will be posted in the store’s entrance for the public to check out.
