Girls set to play twice

Brett McMahon did his best Brett Hull imitation yesterday.
McMahon played the part of sharpshooter with a pair of third-period goals to lead the Muskie boys’ hockey team to a 6-0 victory over the Sanford Collegiate Sabres in their opening game of a tournament in Brandon, Man.
Jeff Cridland, Donovan Cousineau, Colton Spicer, and Nik Jourdain had the other goals for the black-and-gold, who remain perfect after 18 games overall so far this season.
They continued tournament action today with a game against the Virden Golden Bears.
The tournament final is set for Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Muskie girls’ hockey squad also will be busy this weekend, starting tonight when they travel across the river for the first of a home-and-home exhibition series against the International Falls Broncos at 7:30 p.m. at Bronco Arena.
The second game of the series will go Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. at the Ice for Kids Arena here.
Before that, though, Fort High has some NorWOSSA action to attend to as they travel to Dryden tomorrow to face the Eagles.
