That’s the story for the Muskie boys’ hockey team, which will try to make it four-straight wins to open the NorWOSSA regular season when they head up Highway 502 to take on the Dryden Eagles tonight.
This is the first road game of the year for the black-and-gold, and the first meeting of the regular season between the two squads.
But this isn’t the first time they’ve hooked up this fall.
The Muskies downed the Eagles 3-1 in a preliminary-round game at a pre-season tournament in Dryden, then pulled off a thrilling 3-2 victory in the gold-medal game of a tourney two weeks ago in Morden, Man.
Matt DePiero netted the winning goal in the latter match-up with just one second left in regulation time.
Fort High opened the regular season with a home win over the Kenora Broncos on Nov. 17 before posting a pair of blowout victories over the Red Lake Rams this past weekend.
The Muskies don’t play at home again until Dec. 1, when the Eagles visit the Ice For Kids Arena.
