More parking woes

Maxine Ramier

Hello everyone:
Just a note to let you all know about the beautiful street in front of St. Mary’s Church that is ready for you to drive on.
But don’t park on the east side of the street—especially at funerals or when some function is going on at the church!
A big parking lot has been provided behind the church, but parking there could be difficult if you are older or disabled in some way, especially when the snow and ice make walking difficult.
Coming out of my husband’s funeral on Oct. 28, my son and I found a big yellow note on the windshield which stated we were in a “no parking” zone and that tickets will be issued in the future.
We were on the east side of the street, but there were no yellow curbs.
Can’t this street be used more at funerals? What are we saving that street for?
Please reconsider and maybe have a few parking spots designated for those with disabilities.
Signed,
