A 15-year-old female was seriously injured after an incident at a power transformer on AbitibiBowater property here last night.
The Fort Frances OPP, Fort Frances Fire Department, and paramedics responded to a report around 10:30 p.m. of an injured person on the AbitibiBowater property situated at Central Avenue and Third Street West.
Emergency responders located a 15-year-old female in a fenced-off area of the property near a power transformer with serious injuries, including burns to her body.
The victim was taken to La Verendrye Hospital by ambulance.
The OPP is continuing its investigation into the incident, with assistance from the Electrical Safety Authority and the Ministry of Labour.
