Seen by many as a kick-off to the holiday season in Fort Frances, the 52nd-annual Christmas “Parade of Lights” has been scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 28.
As first reported in Friday’s Daily Bulletin, Causeway General Insurance Brokers Ltd. will be heading up the event this year, taking the reins from the Business Improvement Association, which had run it since 2002 when they took the parade over from the now-defunct Rotary Club.
Though still seven weeks away, organizers already have started working on the parade in order to make it the best one Rainy River District has ever seen.

The lineup will start at 3 p.m. on Nov. 28, with the parade getting underway by 4:30 p.m.
While the parade route hasn’t been confirmed with the town yet, organizers are planning for it to start at the old CN station, proceed down Central Avenue and then Scott Street, coming to an end at the Memorial Sports Centre.
