The Apostolic Way United Pentecostal Church will be holding a dedication ceremony this Saturday at 1 p.m. at its new location at the corner of Church Street and Victoria Avenue.
The church first started using the former St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church back in early April and then at the beginning of June, finalized the deal to buy the property.
Over the past few months, the congregation has been fully utilizing the new location and have made some renovations and repairs.
Pastor Sean Ward said the dedication service will “publicly set the tone for the use of the facility as a place of worship.”
The dedication service will feature guest speaker Rev. Granville McKenzie, Executive Presbyter for the United Pentecostal Church of Canada, who is coming here from Toronto.
It also will include a barbecue lunch and activities for children, said Pastor Ward.
He noted that everyone is welcome to attend the dedication service, and tour the church, which has some new areas that have been redecorated, such as a youth lounge.
“We want to let the whole community know what we are all about,” said Pastor Ward. “We would certainly like to invite everybody.”
