Local talent is set to shine as this year’s “Quest for the Best” is set to run tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the Memorial Sports Centre.
“Basically, we just want to stress that it is happening on Tuesday, June 30,” said Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce manager Dawn Booth.
“People are still thinking that it’s happening with the bass championship because it has for the last eight years, and that’s not the case this year.
“So we really want to stress that it’s happening right away.”
Tickets are still available at various locations around town, including the Chamber office, Canadian Tire, Causeway Insurance, and the Skills and Employment Source, noted Booth.
They cost $12 in advance (up to 4 p.m. on Tuesday) and $15 at the door.
“It is an all-ages show, so we will be checking ID at the door, just so people know to come prepared,” Booth added.
“In conjunction with that is the Fun in the Sun buffet dinner, which is happening [Tuesday] from 4-8 p.m., so we are encouraging people to attend that . . . and then come out for ‘Quest,’” Booth said, noting tickets for the dinner are available at the Chamber office and North Air Services, as well as at the door.
“‘Quest’ is going to be a great show,” she enthused. “We have 20 different contestants, 17 of them singing [and] three of them will be dancing, so that’s new and different this year.
“So people should come out just to see all the changes that we’ve made.”
