Those wanting to learn more about the proposed La Verendrye Parkway Village condominium project will want to drop by an open house this Thursday (May 21) from 4-8 p.m. at the Civic Centre.
“We’ve done many, many condo projects so really I think we can answer pretty much any question that will be thrown at us,” said Thunder Bay developer Robert Zanette of Robert Zanette Real Estate Services Inc.
He noted he will be able to inform interested buyers on how the whole condominium development process and purchasing works.
“Generally, it’s a little new to people, so I can walk them through all that,” Zanette remarked.
He also will provide details of the proposed development, such as unit sizes, unit finishes, building dimensions, and location of the parking area.
There will be drawings and plans on hand for people to see.
“We’ll have some unit layouts, a rendering of the building, things of that sort,” Zanette said. “There will be some visual presentation.”
Because it is an open house, the public can come anytime between 4-8 p.m., have their questions answered, and then go at their convenience.
The proposed development will be built on a riverfront lot located at Front Street and Mosher Avenue, to the east of the current Riverwalk Condominiums.
A large real estate sign has been there since April, advertising two- and three-bedroom units at a cost of $189,900-259,900.
The town entered into an agreement with Zanette (1621623 Ontario Ltd.) at the beginning of April for the sale of the property for the purposes of a condominium development by the company.
But this agreement is contingent on the pre-sale by the developer of 20 such units on or before June 1.
“We’ve had a moderate amount of response, which is about usual, and that’s why we’re following up with this open house-type event—to take that level of interest to the next level and actually sign people up and start reserving units,” Zanette explained.
Recent projects of Zanette’s in Thunder Bay have included Merriday Suites and Brookside Manor.
