In this difficult economic time, our need for your support is great.
The demand of our services has increased with many families in our community struggling.
According to the United Nations, about five million Canadians are living in poverty—and Rainy River District is no exception.
The “Red Shield” campaign is our single-most important fundraiser of the year. We work hard year-round to help families and individuals who are victims of different circumstances.
We give support by providing not only for a person’s immediate needs, but helping them to find their way to a more secure and fulfilling life.
The Town of Fort Frances will declare May as the Salvation Army Red Shield Month.
We invite you to participate in this year’s “Red Shield[ campaign. We would like to request your financial assistance according to the needs explained above.
Your donation of $35, $60, $100, or whatever you feel is appreciated, and will be used 100 percent in our district to fight poverty and its effects on the less fortunate.
If you have time to canvass the block where you live, or somewhere in our wonderful town, please do not hesitate to call 274-3871.
Our tag day for this campaign will be Thursday, May 28 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in front of the stores and banks of Fort Frances.
Volunteers are always welcome.
