Dedicated volunteers

Dear sir:
The month of March in Canada isn’t always the greatest month to operate a door-to-door fundraising campaign. Certainly March in Fort Frances is no exception.
However, with the toughest and most dedicated volunteers, the job was accomplished.
I am referring to the dedicated team captains and canvassers who supported our recent Kidney Foundation March drive. This drive included residents of Fort Frances, Couchiching, Alberton, Stratton, and Stanjikoming.
In spite of the economic uncertainty within our communities, we raised well over $6,000.
This campaign offers a unique opportunity to provide the public with information about kidney health and preventing kidney disease.
It also provides a guarantee that currently running programs in the area of patient services, medical research, and organ donor awareness will continue.
Thank you most sincerely to everyone who helped make this campaign a success.
The need is great as the number of Canadians with kidney disease is growing every day.
Sincerely,
Mary Jane & Ross Pearson
