A tentative agreement has been reached between the Rainy River District School Board and its contract elementary teachers.
The deal comes on the heels of one announced late last week between the board and its occasional elementary teachers.
Details of both agreements remain confidential pending ratification by members of the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (Rainy River District Local) and the Rainy River District ETFO Occasional Teacher Local.
The agreements also have to be approved by the board.
The agreements affect roughly 133 contract elementary teachers and about 96 occasional elementary teachers across the district.
Should ratification occur, the teachers will be joining other board employees, such as secondary school teachers, in negotiating four-year collective agreements that will run until 2012.
